After the “death” of Klaus, Elijah decided to stay with Rebekah, along with Kol, in Mystic Falls at their family’s mansion. He is still curious as to how Damon, Stefan, and Caroline are still alive if Klaus did make their bloodline and he is determined to find out how they are. 

When he found out that Rebekah was the reason Elena became a vampire, he was furious with his sister to do such a thing to an innocent person even if killing her saved his family from running once again. During Elena’s transition, he has tried to help her in anyway he can but hasn’t forced his help on her. 

Lately he has noticed a different in the local witch Bonnie, who has been sneaking off with the Lockwood boy who should be dead. Will he find out it is really Klaus?
